The Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health is a charity supporting individuals living with or recovering from mental ill health.

We are looking to recruit the following in the Derbyshire Dales and High Peak areas.

Mental Health Support Worker

Various contracts available – ranging from 25 to 30 hours per week.

Mental Health Support Worker – (Bank Worker)

This is a zero hours contract. Hours and days to be mutually agreed as dictated by the demands of the business.

Salary scale from £16,009.00 to £16,946.00 pa FTE (plus 3% pension contribution)

The position of Mental Health Support Worker requires you to support people experiencing poor mental wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with people, and will be reliable and flexible. They will also be confident, have excellent communication skills, and be able to provide our clients with support and encouragement.

Previous experience in a care setting is beneficial, but not essential because full training will be provided. You must be a car owner and have a full licence.

Due to our success in securing funding for delivering Youth Transition work Derbyshire countywide (age 16-17 year olds), we are looking to recruit the following in Derby City and South Derbyshire.

  •  Youth Transition Worker x 2 posts

£12.50 ph (plus 3% pension contribution), 18 hrs per week

All positions would be for a 3 year fixed term contract until 31st May 2022. The contract is a 3+1+1 year contract but the additional 1+1 would depend on the continuation of the funding.

You will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent (in an appropriate subject eg

Psychology, Health & Social Care) &/OR hold a professional qualification in Youth work.

You must have substantial experience of working with young people including those living with or recovering from mental ill health. The role is delivering early intervention targeted support within a designated region of Derbyshire.

You will have a passion for working with young people, and will be reliable and flexible. You will also be confident, have excellent communication skills, and be able to provide our clients with support and encouragement.

Car owner/driver essential for this position.
